Hey guys, well I have finally tracked down a perfect candidate car for my ecotec swap I have been wanting to do for ages now.
After some wheeling and dealing, I have a donor car thats running with 100 000km's (my 2200 has double that).
$400 gets me this car stripped down.
(I'd love to have this guys shop)
Soon to be scrapped 2200 ohv...
Should be a fast swap as me and my mechanic (gm tech, with the shop at our disposal) estimated around a weekend total. Just trying to make our schedules match
is the hard part.
Eco heart transplant (yeah, my hood is beat to hell, I know... Canadian winters FTL)
had a blown ecotec swapped 2000 cavy, now just an 02 Grand Am, and a 74 BMW 2002...
that is awsome! a 4 door sunfire.
i got a donor car for $700. it was involved in a front collision. rad and trany = no good. eco engine seems ok. You my friend got a way better deal.
03 cav
5 speed sedan
alright well I dont have any pics yet, but the eco is going in tommorow morning. So far everything is going fairly smooth, have had no real issues of any sorts...
