suggestions?

ok guys, so Im just now starting to work on my body work. I power slided and hit a pole on concrete, which rips differently than asphalt btw, hah. So heres the story, I'm 19 and don't have a ton of experience with cars but I know the basics. I just bought a oem fender from a junk yard for 80 and a oem bumper off ebay for 115. me and my budy plan on sanding down and priming both and getting them ready for a body shop to paint, his dad has some experience doing body work.

also, my brother in law is a honda freak, well, just tuners i guess, srts, hondas, evos, 350zs, but he lives about an hour away now and i like never see him, or ide have him help me. he also owns a dyno and said he will run my car and tune it for free.

So I need some tips on what i might run into putting these parts on and the process. any tips would be appreciated.

Also, Im going to be working alot more hours to save up some money, I will have about $600 to blow, and I need some suggestions for performance wise what will help my 2200 OHV the most.

thanks guys.

Seriously, eco swap it. It is the best thing you can do to a OHV.

i was liking the whole drift idea, and tried it in the wrong area. hah. and yeah i keep hearing the eco swap thing, and I don't know how to swap motors, but since my brother in law has boosted and built and done so many motors, since he has knowledge im sure he could do it easy as pie, from what i've read it sounds pretty easy.

ok, so ill save up, I will buy some nitrous though, I can use that obviously on the eco when I get it. And once I have it all ready to go and put it, I will go the the drag strip and run a little more shot every time and see how much the 2200 can take.

And ill provide numbers and time slips...sound good? haha. ...I'm sad that the ohv sucks so much ass, GM did a terrible job with it, wish they started putting ecos in 02 and up, cause then ide have one. Any good places to get an eco motor for when I have the dough?

it's front wheel drive, so you're not drifting or powersliding, you're ass dragging. good way to mess up your car. sounds to me before you go trying to make the car more powerful, you need to learn how to control what you've already got.

My ass drags every morning till I get my coffee.....Ohh never mind.

It's my understanding thatthe Eco swap on a '99 & older will require just about an entire doner car. The 2K+ had the chasis, BCM, Dash and fuel system changes that will make the Eco swap easier. On a '99 & older, a LD9 2.4L TC swap would be easier, just get the engine and PCM from an equivalent model year range. A 3X00 swap isn't too bad, more work than a LD9, but still not too bad, see the Third Gen Forum for more.

i agree and the LD9 comes with 10 more HP out of the box and can really beat an RX8...
