I'm trying to install my TTR upper mount
I thought I had the correct part supported with my floor jack and I unbolted the stock upper engine mount. I accidently supported the tranny instead (I should have double checked...
) . I removed the mount and now my engine is sagging... How can I fix this so I can install my TTR mount
I'm new at installing engine mounts.. please help
I'd use a hoist to pull it back into place.

use two scissor jacks.. one for the motor... support the lower dog bone... then put one jack right behind the passanger tire.. i did this when my motor shifted after taking out my mounts on my 2.4. having the ability to raise the car up to the motor will help you alot
ok i can do all but use a hoist. i dont own one.
thanks ill try
Yeah, you just gotta pick the engine back up some.
Pretty simple..
i jacked up the car and I'm suporting the dogbone... still no success..
any more tips?
I had someone come over and pry on it with a bar, just make sure you do it in a safe place. Just be careful not to cross thread the bolts on the way back in, the mount on the engine has to be lined up perfectly with the upper mount.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
I would suggest wedging the scissor jack between the subframe/firewall and the engine and moving it over and using a jack to lift it. but thats just me. glad to hear you got it.

I hate to break it to ya..but a lot of people on this site aren't in the wealthy bracket. If we were, we prolly wouldn't have j-bodies
I finally wrapped everything up and shut the hood.
Thanks everyone for the help. I wouldn't have been able to get it done before dark if it wasn't for ya'll LOL
i told you .. two jacks works great... i did it for both my cavs... one to raise the car when you need and one to slowly lower the motor down..
