Power Steering

Yea this is just so unfortunate

So went to GM service today...My intake made for a 02 cavalier, rubbed a nice little hole in my power steering reservoir. So just for them to look at it was 70 but the tech. was cool. The new resovoir is 130 plus install so thats a total of 230. WOW. And the pump might be FU****. Has anyone had this dumb problem and do you guys think my pump is done also? I mean the car just started making turning noises so I put more fluid in and it did it again so I took it in today...

I guess the tech is going to relocate the resovoir or rig the intake so that it doesn't rub for now until I get the S/C...

Yea I know this topic shouldn't be in performance and it's really stupid...i know...i know...

Get a tank at AutoZone or something and put it on yourself.

Then get yourself some motor mounts to keep your engine from rocking back and forth so much.

Does it make any funny noises... especially when you turn the steering wheel?

Well the tech bleeded the lines and filled the tank up to suffice till tommoro morning but the noises are very minimal to none right now...hmmm...

If it's not making much noise and it's not straining at all to do anything, i'd just get a new tank and put it on yourself. Try not to drive it around like that a whole bunch though.

Sounds good man, I hope everything works well. Thanks a lot for the info. I'll just make sure there's fluid in there until tommoro morning...lol
