Isn't the kit supposed to be more than just the intake manifold?
You need it modified or have an adaptor to fit correct?
Also, you have to retune to keep from having pre-detonation.
Short term no damage, just excess wear from what I hear.
My wife's 2003 Ecotec 2.2 liter Sunfire:
* 2 1/4 inch turbo muffler
* 2 1/4 piping to a 2 1/2 inch resonator
* 2 1/4 inch catalytic converter
* 2 1/2 inch down-pipe
* a match ported 4:2:1 RK Sports 'clone' header
* an AEM true cold air intake NOPI edition
* 8 gauge ground wire kit
* Toyz front strut brace
* Vibrant rear strut brace
* and Russell stainless steel brake lines all around.
Wait a minute... the ad on E-bay says: "This manifold was a take off from a brand new never fired 2.2 Ecotec. "
What good is that?

GM Ecotec intake manifold 2.2L 2.4L
This auction is for a stock GM Ecotec intake manfold. This manifold was a take off from a brand new never fired 2.2 Ecotec. It will fit many early 2000 Ecotec powered vehicles from Saturn, Pontiac, Chevrolet, or possibly a custom Ecotec project. If you are in need of any other LS, small block, big block or ecotec parts or accessories, please visit our store. If you have any other questions please read the section below.
ALL BIDDERS PLEASE READ:
Seems very cut and dry to me, it says the manifold sold here is off a brand new 2.2 Ecotec, not the 2.4
So if that is some cut like I did not read well, show me where I am wrong, that first link goes to an E-bay ad and I cut and pasted what it says to make it easier for people.

I know it say's off of a 2.2 But I spent an hr on the phone with them discussing the manifold, it has no side moldings its smooth and the brake booster comes off at the TB, it is the correct Manifold just says off 2.2
I did read this too, and it sounds like the guy wanting $30 on the other end of the phone will say whatever to make the $$$.
I wouldn't trust it.

That manifold on E-bay has 12502735 marked on it, I am going to look at my 2.2 Cobalt when I get home and see if it is the same number.
In fact I have a second manifold sitting at home for the same 2.2 I was going to port before the whole 2.4 manifold thing came out on the market.

The 30 dollar manifold says GM part # 12602735 . This is the LE5 manifold! The E bay add may have said from a 2.2 but its not! The ebay seller does sell 2.2 Eco manifolds, and is selling them right now. I also compared pictures of the real 2.2 ECO GM part # 12502735!!
The 114 $ one I posted about says GM part # 12602735 the 2.4 Liter manifold. So what does it come with? Anyone know?

I believe you, but I had no luck on the GM site with those numbers.
Which site did you go to to run those numbers?

So for you guys buying just the LE5 mani, what are you doing for a throttle body adapter? That is the biggest reason i shelled out for the CED kit. Makes like easier.
Nice find though!
thats what I did... I spent 65$ for the whole kit

That's it??
Qwibby where did you find the mani? Tell me now lol. I believe with the current 10 % discount off the mani from Crate, plus shipping came to about 244$. I look on ebay a lot for the 2.4 mani and never find it. So was surprised to find this post!

I only posted very blatantly that the guy is not selling the manifolds he has someone listing them for him generically... just pay attention to which manifolds are in the pictures

What all is needded to make these bolt up to the 2.2? I'm a newb when it comes to these things. Any additional parts?

The reason I don't trust it is because they are only asking $30 for them.
They also post that they came off of 2.2s, and right now everyone is trying to sell their 2.2 manifolds for guess how much? $30...
I have had times where the guy on the other side of the phone wanting my $$$ left out pertinent info or just full bore lied to me and have been stuck with junk I can't use or had to take a hit by only getting partial refunds and having to pay shipping both ways.
In other words, it raises a red flag for me.
If these are aftermarket made, I still am blown away that they can sell them for $30 per unit.
Others are selling these for up to 5xs more.
If you did not get scammed, high five...
The only other worry I would have is build quality and leaks.
But I don't have one and can only point out possibilities as I am helping the ones who have not possibly thought of these possibilities.
Hope it works great, so on and so forth...

Exactly! 2.4 Manifolds can sell for the price of a 2.2 manifold, why not? At GM, the 2.4 manifold is more than the 150$ 2.2 manifold sure, so sell it for 60$ or a little more! I'll definitely pay 60 bucks for a 2.4 manifold then buy the crate 2.2 to 2.4 TB conversion kit for another 35 bucks.
