Replacing stock fuel tank with fuel cell?

I have a '93 Cavi 2.2 that I race on dirt tracks. It currently has the stock fuel tank (we can run it so long as there is a skid plate underneath). I need to replace the fuel pump and I am thinking that while I have the tank dropped I may just go ahead and put in a fuel cell.

I have heard some people say it is hard to put in a fuel cell with fuel injection and the return line. Others have told me no problem. I have also heard some people say to use an inline fuel pump, while others have said to install a stock fuel pump in the cell.

Anyone replaced their stock tank with a fuel cell? Should I use stock pump or an inline pump? Any tricks I need to know if I do it?

Ok this is pretty easy. I went and bought an in line fuel pump from either a Ford Ranger or F-150 Its a simple 2 wire hook up.

I went to NAPA and bought a replacement factory fuel line connector for the ford fuel pump. then I bought a repair splice kit from Napa as well to splice into my factory fuel line just before the stock Cavalier fuel filter. this way I can still run the stock fuel filter.

The return is already there just lengthen it to reach back to the fuel cell, don't forget you need a vent on the fuel cell so don't just use the vent for your return. Really its that easy!

here is a pic of the splice
