Basically, those types of kits never work perfectly, and are usually sub-par quality. He suggested retrofitting the turbocharger system off a SAAB 9-3 onto your car because they both use essentially the same engine. Then after you have the turbo on, getting your computer reflashed by GM with the tuning they use on the supercharger kit.

I beg to differ! You may not be familiar with Turbo-Kits.com, but they sell Hahn RaceCraft and other quite reputable products.

Whereas a patient experimenter can definitely cobble together a fun (if imperfect) kit, IF he has the skills and the time to cull equipment and parts from various sources, Hahn TurboSystems are 100% complete, expert-engineered solutions, In the arena of Ecotec J-body, Hahn systems and components have set, and continue to hold, every significant performance record. With a variety of power options available, they've been continuously refined since their introduction some six years ago, and are the most effective solution you can find...at ANY price.

You may be thinking of some of the laughable Ebay and similar "turbo *cough* suppliers", but rest assured, this is not one of those fly-by-night moneytakers.
