Yeah, too bad that car never lived up to the hype. Noone has seen dyno sheets, timeslips or anything.
It was on ebay ( stripped down ) about 1.5 years ago with no takers
There are some pics of it in the JBO library under the 2000 SEMA pics

There was no proof at all of it even running with high boost. there was ONE video posted with it blowing off the blow off valve....but NO one has seen ANY proof of it making those numbers...with the mods it "had."

What some people do to get there name/company name in a magazine.
lol i think this car pops up once every 6 months
There was at least one person that saw the car on the dyno, but the numbers were no where near those claimed numbers.
Bill those numbers aren't the magazine claiming, but the owner at the time claiming them.

Sounds like typical case of "Rice Boy with too much money." Yeah... Its doin' 8s on the track.

Yep, you bet...it's usually always the owner claiming them, so as to make a good magazine article. It's just the way these magazine articles usually go, lol...dreamy numbers based on "formulas" and the like, if not outright fabrication! The magazine will only claim the numbers if they do the actual testing which is very rare, especially with this type of car. For usual stories, the magazine editors don't require proof, just the owner's word.

I'd be pretty hard pressed to believe it was putting down that much hp especially using secrete cams. lol
not 'secret cams' ..... secret grinds. and believe it or not but kike karas put down 419whp with the secret cams. long before any of us 'new comers' were even into the 300's.
and his company or whatever... 'genertec' actually did make cams for us once upon a time.

Yeah they made XX5 cams which do seem to have a little more to them than Secret cams. My friend has them in his 99 auto z24 with Gm charger.

Speaking of Genercrap, anybody remember the "speed limit eliminator" he sold..
A friend of mine sold his J a few years ago and gave me one that he never installed. I opened it up and busted out laughing.

Haha, good ol' Genertec Racing Development, that goes way back. If I remember, it pretty much consisted of a couple of redneck ricers peddling cheap junk, one "shop car" (The Sunfire) and an indifferent/sketchy reputation at best.
Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm5rhDsPoRU video on YouTube. Their supposedly 600+ horsepower Sunfire that idles "innocently" with perfect street manners.... is barely running and misses when they first get on it. Its either dumping too much fuel, or it's got an engine problem. You gotta remember, this is the 1999-2001 time frame. There was no such thing as HPTuners, and I doubt these clowns had any reasonable means to tune it.
Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!
i seen it move at a bash in 2001 i think.
