Either 2.2 or 2200 cam will work in either motor. So yes they would be. As for coming with 1.6 rockers. No those are the spec's if you use 1.6 rockers.
Im not so sure that the camshaft will work in either motor. I was going to try to do a cam swap from a 97 2.2 and put it in my 99 2200. If I do remember correctly the timing marks for the SFI are in different spots. Someone please correct me if I am wrong
As far as i know the cams swap right out. Have to use the cam sprocket for which ever motor it is going in though. A simple search would tell you. Along with you can do 1.6 rockers.
used ipp cam for circle trk realy couldnt tell much differ only just before u let off going in corner

As far as I've read, the timing notches were only advanced on the crank's trigger-wheel, not the cam's. So it should swap in no prob.
Hey... When you do this, and if you're keeping the factory intake manifold & using a log-tube header, lemme know how it works after you get it tuned 'cuz I wanna try the same on my S-truck. Yeah, I've got the same engine as you (LN2), plus more weight, so any way to help bump-up the low-end torque is a big plus!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
