Can you remove a cat back exhaust without cutting the pipes?

I have a Magnaflow Cat Back system on a 2004 Cavalier that is wrecked. I want to put it on a 2005 Cavalier... But I need to know if there is a way to remove, and reinstall it WITHOUT cutting the pipes? Can you jack up the rear end high enough to pull it out in one piece? has anyone tried this?

if that cat back was bolted on yes........if its welded than you might need to cut the muffler to get the tubing out

I did this, you have to lift the read of the car pretty high.. but it does work.

It can be done !! Jack the back of the car up and support it with jack stands in front of the rear axle. Then remove the bolts from the shocks to the rear axle. After that, remove the left bolt that holds attaches the rear axle to the uni-body frame of the car. While doing this you will want to support the rear axle with blocks and a jack so it doesn't go anywhere. Lower the rear axle slightly, just enough to give you enough clearance to get the entire exhaust system out. I've done this with my own car and a another. I traded my OEM Cat-Back system for the aftermarket set-up that was on a used car at my work.

and if all that doesnt work, take the two easy as bolts that hold the axle to the body out and viola, exhaust dropped.

I must confess... I feel like a monster!

That is kinda what I thought I might need to do. I don't know if I have all the stuff to get it done that way.... I might just cut the Magnaflow muffler off, and take it to a welding shop and have them put on my 2005.

it's easier to leave the struts attached to the torsion beam and just remove the body to torsion beam mount bolts.

pulled my custom bent 2.25" borla catback (flanged at the cat, rest was one piece) off my sedan and put it on a vert using this method.
