Discuss high compression with me

Ok so hopefully you can follow me because sometimes i have trouble explaining things in a way others can understand.

I am currently running the 086 head on my Z's stock bottom end, wich for those who dont know gives me 11.37 to 1 compression. The engine runs great, Its nice n torquey, and according to HP tuners Ive gotten knock under control. Now im going to take the 086 head off for use with my other engine that will eventually go into the Z. The Z's current engine will go into my 189000 mile daily driver vert once the other engine is swapped into the Z. I have plans to make this engine a midrange torque beast, high duration low lift cams, 4-2-1 header, long runner intake, etc.

I have no problem running high compression in my Z becasue its not my daily driver, the verts a different story. My questions are....If I run my 456 head, which is the best flowing head for low lift, what does the higher compression do to the engine as far as ware and tare? Obviously if causes more heat in the engine. Does it wear on the bearings more? shorten the life ofthe rings? I fear it might not be the best setup for a DD but the numbers look good. I also have a built, ported, stainless valves, etc 96 2.4 head and the stock 2001 head I could use. What would you do? im so torn. Are there any other concerns im missing?
