so uh, forgetting how stuff your suspension is, plus tight wet s-curve at 30 isn't a good idea. controlled the car for about 60 feet and then countered too much and started going backwards into a a fence, muffler tip got caught in the fence and my piping kinked and my car shut off, which hopefully didnt do anything bad. and i had to break my muffler off so im running a header to stock piping up to the back wheel.
i have like 150 dollars which is enought to get a muffler welded on professionally for 100. but not enough money for the muffler. cuz i dont have an extra one.
my question is, does not having a muffler do anything bad to the engine?
$150 is more than enough to buy a muffler, have it welded on, and take your friends out for lunch... and have some left for gas.
Muffler $19.99 at autozone (Thrush super turbo)
Weld - $50 at most
$20 at most for any extra pipe
Even if you go get a $75 muffler, you still have enough left to have it welded on.
I had my entire exhaust welded in for $75 from Exhaust Pro's. Thats from the downpipe, to the cat, to the res, to the muffler and the tip.

i live on long island and the only people that really do exhaust is like mieneke and the reason for 100 is the 1 hour labor charge of 100.. besides the @!#$ty mexican places in brentwood, but i'd rather not let a mexi touch my car. i had a nice sounding magnaflow until 12:45am. -____-. i mean i have a 3a fart can but i'd rather not cuz it was terrible.
no, i have no problem with mexicans at all. it's the fact that they're illegal mexicans and can say yes and no and thats it.

Well mr.Drift King maybe the issue isn't forgetting how "stuff" your suspension is but rather you should learn to drive when road conditions become less then ideal.

Did you destroy your muffler? can you just get a pipe welded back onto it?
You know what maybe you should spend the $100 for somebody to do 1 weld on your car.. because i don't think the mexican exhaust shops want you money any ways.

lol, this thread went epic pretty damn quick.
I could understand not wanting to go there if they dont speak enough English to actually be able to talk to them..... but not wanting to because "Mexicans steal cars" just doesnt make sense.... you should know that its the blacks you have to watch out for..
I had exhaust pros weld up my complete aftermarket exhaust for $50.... although I had it installed and clamped already.... and all he had to do was adjust it a little and weld.... took 15 minutes..
I think the OP was either going faster than 30, hit the E-brake, or just has really crappy tires...
This guys speaks no english, but does some of the best welds I have ever seen. Been to him many times, and he has yet to steal my car.

No, he's in Arizona, which is even worse for stolen cars, and there's a higher mexican/hispanic population that NY, too. With a higher illegal mexican/hispanic population. I deal with non-english speaking illegal's every day...not all of them are thieving scumbags like you imply. If you want to be ignorant, go right ahead. Learn to judge based upon quality of character/work and not color of skin and you'll go a lot further in life. You'll probably get your muffler welded on a lot cheaper too
Why not try going to a few of those shops and seeing the quality of their work and I'll bet you can probably get it welded for $20-30 by a decent one.
