like the title says, whats the point of the beam thats bolted to only one end of the subframe in the back and runs to the front, but doesnt even touch. and If I tighten up the sub frame can I get rid of it?

i went almost a year without that brace(bent the orig. when i put the car into a curb @ 45mph) in the cavi when i had it . i think its to keep the subframe from shifting or its just one of GM's useless ideas for extra BS on a car

its funny cause its true its not life or death with out it but it help tie everything together almost every other gm car now have a full cradle not a half cradle which strengthens the front end and helps improve front crash test ratings if the cavalier had a full cradle it would have been way better in front crashes.
GM should make them the the us 3800 guys are making them in a front crash our cars will fold up before the subframe breaksthe car will be in a ball but the engine will be intact
