hey guys i really need solid mounts!!! does anyone know we i can get some. i keep breaking the tranny insert mount and i grind 2nd and my motor rocks like a mother fuker.
i have the rk sport upper mount and poly tranny insert.
i have a eco swap with a m62 setup
Find a shop to weld the motor mounts solid for you. It would probably be cheaper.
- Your not-so-local, untrained, uncertified, backyard mechanic. But my @!#$ runs
build some solid ones, fabrication is key
You dident swap over from a auto to a manual when you did your eco swap did you?
Do you have a lower dog bone mount?
Im running the RKSport solid dogbone and upper insert with stock tranny mounts and my motor hardly moves. Might try just replacing the dogbone (torque strut) this will probably solve the problem.
Whatever you do, don't buy mounts from LZM.
I can make you some solid mounts if you want!
My LZM mounts rock.
But it took forever to get them
A couple people have had their money stolen from LZM.
Sorry for bringing it up in your post, just don't want you or anyone reading to have the same fate.

A couple of my good friends have actually used window weld on their stock mounts stiffer.

This actually works really good, and is very cheap
I'm also curious about these:

try shifting better, the gear wont grind and you probably wont break more inserts
Eat my shift
Does anyone have pictures of where and how to window weld the factory mount?
"In Oldskool we trust"
probably just fill in the gaps in the stock mount with the window weld crap would be my logical guess.
