So I have miss placed my stock intake manifold and therefore will be needing to get a new one for my turbo build. I was looking at vulcan turbo's intake they have but just shy of $600 its a realtively decent investment. My goals are 300whp and am curious to know if the stock intake manifold would work for my goals or if a 2.3 HO manifold be a better option. If they are not what I should be looking at for 300whp I am wondering if there is anyone else that makes intakes for our cars. I thought Fetter (I think thats who it was) was in the process of making some or am I out to lunch thinking that? Anyways, if anyone can point me in the right direction for an intake manifold I'd appreciate it.
300 hp can easily be had with an HO mani. Speedracerz made over 400 hp with one. It makes the charge pipe set up easier and looks really good when done right!
An HO mani will be more than enough for 300whp. Ill be keeping mine until future needs. Custom aluminum mani's are nice but for a well built manifold will usualy run atleast $500, where as an HO manifold much much less.
Well I guess I need to find a HO manifold then. Anyone that has one for sale let me know!
HO Mani all the way.... get a phenolic spacer instead of swapping the flange so that you can keep it cooler.
HO Mani is good for everyone except mild modded N/A and all Stock motors. I expect gains with my N/A setup with the mani due to my .430 lift 222 duration cams, higher compression pistons, fully p&p head, and 1mm oversized stainless valves.... so much more potential air flow... now i just need to get my exhaust to match...
FOr your goals a stock manifold will do as well, and will look better (unless you spend the time and money to powder coat the HO). You would need to tap the stock manifold for the PCV system, as you would for the HO as well.

Well it is a little more than that for a WELL built manifold...lol
Key word, atleast..lol
Hell for materials alone would be almost that much considering it has velocity stacks.
i have an ho manifold, tb,and the phenolic adaptor. port matched, tabs grounded (except the 2 map sensor tabs) and painted red.
