ques. concerning possible swap of cobalt ss lsd unit to getrag in 2001 cav z24
is this a straight swap?
would it be possible to swap whole tranny?
what is diff in gear ratio?

seeing as how ecotec's have a different bellhousing bolt pattern than LD9's im going to say no on the direct bolt up.
and as for the LSD i doubt it.. however, be neat if it did.
just get the Team Green LSD insert and be done..cheap, easy, fast.../thread

since an lsd is a transmission part, have you Tried looking in the transmission section? there was like 3 threads on it last time i looked.
i'll check out team green but i am mostly interested in an oem part due to the durability factor

It would be like making a Dana diff (good) fit in to a GM 10 bolt diff (bad)
But the short and sweet is No.
A F35 diff will not fit in side of a F23 trans.
Talk to speedracerz. He has LSD inserts siting around.
