ARP TORQUE SPECS Head and Main
Monday, February 22, 2010 4:26 PM
Hey guys just getting ready to do pre-assembly and check clearences and wanted to make sure on the specs. Firstoff when I searched I found only one answer:

Head Studs: 75 ft/lbs stock gasket or 85ft/lbs to get a good seal on cometic.
Just wanted to double check this was right.

Secondly,

Main Stud Torque: ?

Eagle H-beam rod bolt torque: ?

I know that I should know all of these torque specs from when I bought these studs but I bought them off of deifferent people that just never used them and nothing had paperwork with it.

Thanks Guys!

When I did head studs on a 2.4 and called ARP they said go by the manufactured specs. Only thing different they said was to start the car and bring it up to temp, then shut it off and cool and re check them.

they have a torque spec on their website.
look under online catalog, then on the left side near the bottom, click the heading torque specifications.
they go by stud size, not application.
