Im assuming there will be a gap, you will prob need to fab up a peice with a cat it in to connect the two, I would also email the company and ask for actual pictures of the catback because when i ordered mine it was different from the pics on their website.

do you think just throwing the stock cat on there would fill it. possible the res too

i wouldn't do that if you are going high flow. Just pick up a length of ss pipe and a magnaflow high flow cat from part source. My cat cost be 80. If you want ya a resonator would prob be a good thing to have but i wouldn't put the stock one on you are spending all this money to go high flow and then stick in some stock components. Go buy a cherry bomb resonator that is the proper width for your system.

i just remebered your prob gonna have to buy an o2 bung. You won't have on on your new system and somewhere that can weld it on for you.

well. one problem with the o2 bung. i took my exhaust off at the flex pipe (worse mistake ever) and the o2 sensor is now sitting on the side of the road somewhere, just dragging wires now

is this a good cat for high flow?

great cat. its the one i'm rocking, no cel for 2.5+years. also, if you're gonna go that route, wait till the pipe work comes in, and measure the connections, and add a resonator and muffler to make sure you get a quiet car that passes emissions. the header, it will rust out in a year if not less. the cat back, it will be obnoxiously loud.

I bought a header very similar to that one. A few pieces of advise. the finish will burn off after about a month, which doesn't look to pretty. If it's stainless, like mine, I can't see it rusting through. Mine has NO rust after 3 years; not even at the knuckle or cat connection. I had trouble getting the bolt holes to line up on the studs. In particular, the hole farthest to the left when looking from in front of the car (cylinder 1) had to be slotted to make it fit. The bigger deal was how the ports met up to the head, or how they didn't I should say. The ports were not flush. I suggest taking a straight edge to the ports on the header to avoid the massive exhaust leaking I had. Once I figured it out, I used a heavy duty belt sander to get them all level, checking it with a straight edge every so often. Works great now, for the price.

well my CEL is one because my o2 sensor just isnt there any more. i dont plan on keeping it for much longer but with the way i have my exhaust now. even a @!#$ty header would be better than what i got. thanks for the advice. and i'm used to obnoxiously loud. thats what i have now. i have the manifold, and just a little pipe, put the cat and res on and called it good. so im used to obnoxious. but ill get this exhaust and sell it and used that money and the money i earn durring basic training for the down payment on a cobalt SS/TC

Ya i would agree that that cat would be a good buy seeing as it has an o2 bung already welded into it.

only problem is NO o2 SENSOR. know how to get a new one without paying 2380947209357823497 dollars?

alright sounds good now will a o2 sensor fit from any 3rd gen or do i need one specifically for the 2200?

A buddy broke one off my 2004 cavalier donor car exhaust and one from my 2000 sunfire with a 2200 fit and plugged into the 2004 cavi harness, i am assuming if you find the same gen car it will prob work, i would take the plug of the broken one with you to the scrap yard and see if it looks the same.

well i have a gmail account through work, but its weird. like most accounts will end in @gmail.com whereas mine ends in @wccd911.org, so i dont know if it will work or not, but it is through gmail.
