Whats are your guys opinions on the weapon r sw intakes? they look like a well made intake, and it would give me some more gains over the vibrante intake i have now because that stupid box thing on the TB would be gone, and the whole "secret weapon" concept seems like it'd provide a little bit more gain from the intake

well i cant say i didnt see this coming lol, but honestly have any of you guys tried one of their intakes?(im not trying to be a dick if it seems that way) and i can get it reletively cheap if i decide to get one, its great when you know someone who owns a parts store

the one you want to to buy was on my 'Fire when I got it. After i decided to start modding, the AEM was my first mod. Weapon R's are @!#$ty. It didn't fit right, and the "filter" is a wire screen with a sheet of 1/8th inch @!#$ wrapped around it. Do yourself a favor and get the AEM or make your own.
well one problem there, AEM doesnt make an intake for my engine(2200), and what some people like others may not, dont really know until you try it for yourself
ebay does. connects to the TB and goes into the fender

and BTW AEM does make a 2200, 2.2, ohv LN2 intake..ive personally seen several.
ok this is probly gonna sound stupid but ill buy the weapon r sw intake for my car and if it turns out to be @!#$ty ill get rid of it and ill shut up and buy an ebay cold air intake
I bought that expensive weapon R foam filter (replaced it with my AEM supplied CAI filter). I noticed better acceleration man! I thought I was gonna make a big mistake. Bought one for a friend's 2003 GTI, he loved it. I got one, same thing. So I don;t know how good the intakes are but I have heard good things; I like the filter for sure all i can say

yes i did ask for opinions, no i didnt shoot them down, i actually wanted to know peoples experiances with them more or less, and i know you said you had one, but one person saying there @!#$ty, and another actually have had one and saying there @!#$ty is 2 different things, if anyone else has had a weapon r intake and not been satified with it ill change my mind and get something different, and AEM musta have discontinued them then cuz there not on the site
thank you! is it the secret weapon intake? and from my experiance just because some people say its bad doesnt mean it is, my mufflers for example, before i bought them i was told they were going to sound ricey and excesivly loud, i will say they are loud, but not ricey sounding at all, so you can believe every one
i have the secret weapon intake its not bad expensive for a tube and a foam filter but hey i didnt pay for it ins. did but if its wat YOU want then get it.
