ok i got a 1996 Z24 with a baby turbo on it runs 5-8 psi with ford red top injectors secret cams and fmic. Its my every day driver not a race car by no means runs mid to low 14s for the past 2 years ! well the problem is # 3 rod bearing finally called it a day. im done with the ld9 engine since i came across a 1991 beretta GTZ 2.3 H.O engine and have it sitting on my garage floor for the past half year or so. Now i need to get this engine in and running within a weekend and need to know what is needed to make this swap happen and drive it to work on monday morning ! so far i know is im going to have a issue with the cam sensor???? and one engine mount which i have figured out already ! im sorry if its listed on this site somewhere but i cant find it! i just want to eliminate all the little hair tearing issues i will come across ! Thanks

And one more thing this engine will have the turbo put back on. good idea ? lol
not saying its a bad idea by any means but if you would just do the 2.3 oil pump swap on the LD9 you're number 3 rod bearing issues would cease.
We all need somebody to believe in something...
You will need a custom turbo header aswell since the exhaust flange is different.
this is by no means a weekend job if u dont know exactly what ur doing, and u dont want to rush something like this, im doing something similar, but a lot more in depth and it has taken me 2 months already and im not even close yet.
if it can't win a race it better win a show
not to mention your compression will be 10.1 vs the LD9's 9.5:1.

the turbo manifold isnt going to fit on the quad head..will probably want a 95z alternator as well...this is not a weekend job.

You can run 10:1 and a trubo.
^^^ never said you couldnt! you were running closer to 10.5:1!!! (so is my w41.
)
just saying...

the turbo manifold i made was from the older quad engine with the tubular header i think it came off the 89's and fabbed up a adaptor plate to fit the LD9 head so its ment for the 2.3 head. but this engine should just drop right in ? the guy i got it off already has the izuzy tranny bolted to it and alternator off a newer Z24 stupid me should have asked him a few more questions if that was all i needed to do but it was a late night deal i forgot
yes, it will bolt right in if thats all your wondering.

Drop right in yea, but with a different wiring harness correct? Nobodies mentioned that lol

sweet got some work to do this weekend then thanks guys !!!!! Oh is there any issues with the cam sensor ???
nope, dont worry about it. car will run fine without it.
you'll just throw a CEL for it, however... you can turn it off with hp tuners if you so wish.
