Okay I blew my 2.3Liter.. and have been calling junk yards all day... and had no luck and the last one i called said they had one but it was from a 95grand am and its a 2.3L High OUTPUT motor.. Will i be able to a direct swap with this? Using the Computer that the 95Z already has in it? there only asking 400$ for this 2.3L H.O. Motor with a 60day warranty on it. which only has 75,000 Miles. I just need to know if i can bolt it right up or do i need a wiring harness. Any information would be apperciated thank you.
if its from a 95 grand am it is NOT an ho.

Is your 95Z and auto or 5 speed. If it is an auto get a LD9 2.4 twin cam or an older 2.3 Ld2 quad 4 motor. If it is a 5 Speed get the LG0...."HO" motor.
A 95 Grand am has a LD2 motor just like your 95Z does.......
95, autos are OBD1.5ish
95, 5 speeds are ODB1

PRND321 Till I DIE
Old Motor: 160whp & 152ft/lbs, 1/4 Mile 15.4 @88.2
M45 + LD9 + 4T40-E, GO GO GO
the "LD2" is the 90-94 low output (LO) 2.3
the 95 2.3 is just a 95. a loner. its more "2.4" than 2.3.

Okay well I have the 95z 5 speed, and your saying get the LGO which is the 2.3L H.O. motor the guy from the junkyard is trying to sell me with 75k miles for 400bucks. I might be mistaken if he said from at 95 grand am or something all i know is its a 2.3L H.O. motor. and ur saying if i have the 5 speed get the H.O. motor? and i should be able to bolt it right up? after i clean it all up, flush it then put new fluids in it. and hopefully it will start up. it comes with a 60day warranty also.
do NOT get it if its from a 95..HO was not made in 95.
if the motor the guy is trying to sell you IS an HO quad4 then yes, it will bolt up fairly easy. word to the wise though. keep your stock 2.3 near by, you are going to need parts off of it to make things work, alternator, a small powersteering line, little things like that.
