i want to get a second opinion on what a good exhaust size would be, im thinking 2 1/4" i dont think 2 1/2" would give me much more power would it? only mods its getting between now and next winter is a header, head work, and maybe a bored out TB

For most n/a builds 2.25 will be enough. You would probably need a pretty aggresive build to require 2.5, and anything bigger than that it pretty much useless for us unless you are boosting the car.

I'm not an expert (I just get carried away rsearching crap), but that is probably what most people here will say. Hopefully someone can chime in with a more accurate recomendation, like after ____hp you should be running 2.5 etc.

For your 2.2L non eco, you should be fine with 2.25

On my ld9 build right now, i have pacesetter header, to the magnaflow hiflow cat, and then thinking of doing 2.5" exhaust, with one resonator and magnaflow street series muffler. I plan to eventually boost it, but is 2.5" to big until then?
