what are you talking about?
those empty connectors are what you need to plug into.
the towers have blades that plug into the back from the mounting plate, you can't see them because they're already plugged in.
if you're adapting this to an eco or a 2.4, you need the male connectors to plug into the mounting plate.

you don't need to swap that whole thing, you can just take off your coils (they have a bolt on top and a bolt on bottom, each) and just plug the MSD coils in their place.
the plate that connects the two coil towers together is the ICM for the 2200. if you already have that, all you have to do is swap the towers which is easy as pie.
it still amazes me people who buy parts to do mods to systems that they have NO IDEA what the factory parts are/do/are capable of/are assembled. if you had EVER LOOKED or done any research on your car, you'd not have had to ask this question.

no, i'm always being honest. "starting somewhere" should be reading, or even just LOOKING at your parts.

Much more likely. The gap on your old plugs was probably out of spec.

Only way to potentially see a real improvement would be to buy the individual modules for each coil and the DIS-2 system to complement. Although, if one of my coils ever would go bad, I'd definitely replace both with the msd upgrade.
