TBI for 95-97 guys wanting boost

I know there's the option for doing the modified fuel rail for the 95-97 guys, but what about taking a TBI setup and hooking it up? It'll have plenty of fuel for boost... what all would be involved? I'm semi-dumb when it comes to newer motors, but I do know that the TBI can put out way more fuel than the side feed injectors can.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

Are you talking about replacing the injectors with the Saturn TBI injectors, or adding a 5th injector? 5th and 6th injectors have been done plenty of times, just search for "EIC", or "Extra Injector Controller".

I've seen the extra injector being used and an injector controller, I'm talking about the TBI setup they used in the early 90's 2.2

I never paid much attention to those. Is it an upper/lower manifold setup like the 94-97?

No its just a lower with a throttle body/injector setup on top. I dont think there is any way to control something like this without rewiring the engine haness for the tbi computer. The effort would be worth the result when you can spend a half hour and do a topfeed swap IMO.

Alright, so Lanman, how were you planning on adding this to the existing system?

Again, I'm dumb with these things, but removing the existing sidefeed and running the tbi itself. It looks like the topfeed is going to be the best bet then. I'll go back to audio and electronics now

Yeah, the TBI by itself wouldn't get you more fuel, unless you know of a massive single injector that would fit it.
