I have a 2004 cavalier im lookings to get a few more ponies out of my engine without getting too crazy. I already have 4-2-1 header highflow cat, and a catback exhaust. Im new to tuning the ecotec's so i want to know what all i can do to make it a bit faster. I dont have any plans for boost YET. I was thinking about intake manifold maybe larger throttle body, cams eventually but i dont know what are decent brands. Like i said im not trying to go crazy, im just trying to get a mild mod list put together! I will take into concideration any opinions people throw out there!! Thanks
for NA i would say le5 intake manifold (off a 2.4L ecotec), larger throttle body (i happen to have one for sale 62mm), comp cams, and then find someone in your area to tune you with HPT (horse power tuners)
Can i just pick one up off any 2.4 eco? And will it directly bolt up to my 2.2? How much are you lookin to get for the tb, have you noticed a difference with the tb and intake mani ( if you had one?
it will bolt up to the head yes but you need to get the throttle body adapter from crate engine depot, i also got there brake booster line to save time.. here is a link to my
throttle body and yes the tb and manifold does make a big difference...
