I have searched but keep coming up confused since there seems to be argument on this matter.
I am going to be installing HO Cams soon as my head gasket is going. I have the cams, carriers, cam is being machined, 2.4 carrier will be modded to hold HO intake cam. I also have an 086 head that will not be going into my car. Since I have the head I figured I would make use of valve springs and components. I was wondering if I needed to use the valve spring rotators/caps, spring seats, and valve keepers if I use said rotators/ caps? \
Will be using the 35mm lifters for the exhaust side since using HO carrier and will probably be using the 33mm lifter for intake (could change). Also had a question about oil pressure switch. On 2.4 the switch is on intake tower and on the 2.3 it is on exhaust tower. I will be using switch on intake, but what do I do with the hole in exhaust carrier? Just plug it?
Can the tuning be done with a tech2 or will I need to use HPT?
Hope I didnt leave anything out. Please help clarify. Thanks in advance.
Tech II has no tuning capability unless you have the program that GM uses. They never released that program to the dealers.

the 2.4 INTAKE tower has the bung for the stock oil pressure sender unit. the 2.3 EXHAUST tower has the same thing. so use the sender on the intake and like an oil gauge on the exhaust.

exhaust rotators / ho valve spring / 2.3 retainer / 2.4 locks
intake shims / ho valve spring / 2.3 retainer / 2.4 locks

Since your using the 2.4 head all you need are the 2.3retainers, 2.4 keepers, 2.3 springs, 2.4 rotators, 2.4 spring seats.
Yes just plug that hole in the exhaust cam carrier. I will be using that for my turbo feed line.
