not sure if this is the right place to post this. but surely someone will know


will a starter from a 2.2 s-10 motor fit on my 2.2 cavalier.

I think it does. Easiest way. Go to AutoZone.com and look up a starter for you car, take note of the part number. Then look up the starter for the S-10 and see if the number is the same.

I know that 3100/3400/3.1/2.2/2200 starters are all the same for FWD's anyways.

i did the numbers match but i called and they informed me there was two different starters used one bigger and one smaller i have the smaller one no gotta get it tested thanks guys .

The smaller one was used in 01 and newer models. It's smaller, and lighter.
