ok so I currently am running the "secret cams" but I wanna upgrade to the HO cams where do I find them and what do I buy? do I need to buy valve springs as well?
IF I decide to swap from my LD9 to an ECO what ALL do I need to get and swap?
btw I have a 2001 cav
ho cams can be found in basically any auto parts store for brand new, around $200 for both. i know that melling has dis-continued them but they can still be bought. unsure on sealed power or other brands. you want the VIN "A". if you want to get a used set hit up www.car-part.com or try you're local junk yards.
u dont NEED the ho springs but i highly recommend using them. its cheap insurance.
All I want... is a little of the good life
when going to a parts store do I ask for HO cams for a LD9?
Ask for cams from 92 grand am 2.3 vin A HO. Its an LG0 not LD9.
and what springs do I get? sorry I am a complete newb to this part of the car lol
easiest....
order a set of cams and valve springs for a 92 beretta gtz.

thats it^^ ? anything else I need when I get these parts?
well there's lots of things you could and should do but it depends on what your budget is really...
you can go all out and spent about a grand on all the valvetrain components and modification, or as little as 50-100 (depending on where you get the used cams).
All I want... is a little of the good life
but to just do the cams and valve springs is there anything else I need ?
a 2.3 exhaust cam tower and a bored/honed 2.4 intake tower if you wanna run the 35mm lifters.
you could also pick up a set of 2.3 retainers. the 2.4's can work but i wouldnt. its all up to you and you're budget.

2.3 retainers as well.

ya HO cams are easy to find out here, so are springs, retainers and the hex you get from GM, if I could find the hex bag I'd tell you the part number, but Brad has it right depends on budget, Id get head ported for the flow, and im not sure if you have the 2.3 intake mani. but that might help you a bit

Does anyone have the part number on this?
I picked up HO cams and intake manifold from a junkyard for 100 bucks and you can get brand new HO valve springs from Sealed power for around 100 bucks. I looked them up for a 91 Grand Am 2.3.
I figure I can get my HO cams and Ti retainers for about $350 when im ready. If I do another 2.4 with 2.3 springs (almost guaranteed to NOT happen) I will have another set of Ti retainers made for the 2.3 spring and 2.4 valve stem.
