So I had the shop Install my Pacesetter header today and im pretty excited to finally get this thing in. (as well as my high-flow cat)
here is a quick picture:

QUESTIONS:

1) im getting a little bit of vibration of my lower sub-frame with my downpipe...what can / should i do about this?
2) how the hell can i make this junk MUCH quieter? resonator? way way too loud and annoying now...

thanks in advance!

You DO have motor mounts correct...if not get them before you crack your header and/or downpipe.

Also, the high flow cat is again....going to change the tone and make it louder. Get a nice BIG resonator or two small ones.

Thanks alot!
so do you have any recommendations for me on what i should look for?
a link to some decent mounts would be great!
Mounts just help to control vibration and what not right?

Per-Pacesetter and a whole bunch of other header manufactures....mounts help to reduce movement of the engine in the engine bay.

The mounts will worsen vibration in all most all applications. My RKSprot mounts made the dash vibrate a lot at idle.

The mounts limit the movement of the header, and will keep it from hitting the sub frame. Also if the header cracks, some companies will not warranty it....if your not running stiffer motor mounts.

Carcustoms, allecotec, turbotech, and others offer mounts.

Last question:

i can see the upper and lower mounts...
1) I would assume i would be changing them all?
2) those are sold individually? so i would have to purchase two of each?

thanks again MD!

Yes they are sold separately. You will need to buy a upper mount, lower mount and if you want to add icing to the cake a set of tranny mounts.

Definately do the motor mounts. Prothane 7-511 for the lower.
