I bought my 2001 cavalier base coupe 2.2l OHV. About a year ago. have had no problems and i love the body and everything about it. except the power. I feel like anyone can pull away from me. So ive been doing some research. and i have no idea what to do. i have a somewhat good car knowledge. my previous vehicle was 72 chevy 350
. but to the point i got a better job. so im wanting to put money into my cavy and make it faster. im looking for about 225+ horsepower. I know theres many options. Like should i do internal work to my current engine? engine swap a 2.4l dohc? i need some ideas. my current engine has 182k miles. so give me some ideas guys. i wanna keep the 4 cyl. maybe a 6cyl. less mods the better. oh yea its 5 speed. so any ideas would help. nothing outragous. and could u give me a price range for the idea? thanks
