Hey, just a question,
ive got an 03 z24 with the ecotec, ive got the option to get the magnaflow catback for a good price, and I would really like to do it,
my question is, is it a complete bolt up? it seems as though there are 2 cat's on my car, and the kit does away with one. would there be an issue once it comes time to take an emissions test? I know that the kit is 49 state and Canada legal?
Any advice or responses are much appreciated!
i think as long as your o2 sensors are working it should not be a problem should bolt up ok
1) Your car is NOT a Z24 it is most likely an LS Sport; the z24 line stopped in 2000.
2) I also believe that you do NOT have two Cats, most likely you are rocking the stock cat and resonator if the car is not modded.
3) This sounds like a good deal to me bro, it also sounds like you want do get it. I say go for it. and yes Mike Demo is correct, if your O2 Sensors are working properly you should not have a problem with passing emissions. Most Magnaflow systems are legal, you would be hard pressed to find a kit for a Cavalier that is not.

the z line did not stop in 2000.
in fact in canada it remained going until these cars were discontinued.
(I believe that they exists cause i looked for some...easy to do..and they are all Canadians, but i cant seem to find out why they dont say that on all these site???)

Yep. Verts stopped at 2000, US Z/24s stopping in 02, Canadian Z/24s stopped in 2005(the were Z/24 badged 2003-2005 US LSSports). This is all common JBO knowledge.
