2.2 ecotec head question
Monday, August 02, 2010 7:10 AM
i was able to score some oversized valve springs.with that in mind i was going to replace the valves with the ones off of allecotec.com which are stock replacement. My question is will the stock valves seals and keeper (little pices on top of valve) work or do i have to go aftermarket on them? Any suggestion are helpful

From my limited experience, when you change the valves/valvetrain, chances are you will destroy the stock valve seals/spring seats. You can get fel-pro replacements on rockauto.com for like 40bucks shipped.
I don't know if you plan on running aftermarket camshafts, but make sure you are wel aware of your new valvesprings' capabilities before installing.
