I appologize for my last topic. I was trying to hit two birds with one stone, but my stone failed! For the PERFORMANCE forum I will ask this simple question:

On a built 2.4 engine with low compression originally intended for a turbo, will the car make me smile more if I swap to a 086 head? And if I swap to the 086 head, would the HO cams be worthwhile as well to replace the secret cams? I'm looking for opinions here people, I don't care about which head is stronger or exact hp numbers, I simply want to know if the 086 will magically make me like the car again. If the HO cams have minor gains on the high end and lose a lot of mid/low over the bastard secret cams, then I don't want them. I know people here have played with all sorts of head and cam combo's, so spill the beans.

Tuning is not of issue, nor in clearance.



22 miles per gallon and dropping fast...

Ok since tuning and clearance are not an issue I vote 086 head with ho cams. The compression will jump and the car will feel torquier. Plus its better for top end since it has larger valves n ports. The HO cams feel stock til 3500ish and then pull a lot harder.
