Stock, and even at stock spec plugs it almost never breaks up with 13 psi being crammed in there. I will be switching to 2 steps colder and gapped down once the new plugs get here. Theres absolutely no reason to upgrade your ignition until after you've needed to upgrade your rods and pistons.

Have you guys not seen pj's car? Any modded car can benefit from an upgraded ignition, whether its be a built/boosted setup or bolt on n/a.

MSD dis-2, and external coil setups are popular. I had a 2200 coil/icm with msd wires on my ld9, or you can use msd interface modules and msd 8224 coils, or other 2-tower universal coils.

This ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

I wouldn't have it any other way for my LD9 and went from my factory setting of .045 gap (that's what it worked best at that time) to the full blown .060 with the MSD setup and relocated coils.
I eventually plan on an individual coil setup as a final ignition mod.
