I would love to help Shawn and you guys out, but I personally just don't see the need for this. It's been a while, but I don't recall my manifold being much cooler with Fontana's flange back when I had an LD9 head compared to now with the 086...Sorry

LD9 intake is plastic, HO intake is aluminum. The space just helps the mani not get heat soaked. I know you already knew that, just figured i'd say it incase you forgot plastic versus aluminum.
WOW, brain fart... forgot Fontana's flange was a HO to LD9 adapter. My bad, but still, LG0's run hotter than LD9's, so the heat dissipation is more noticable
