would it be easier to swap an eco or a LD9 2.4 into my 2002 sunfire 2200 ohv auto? and also which would be cheaper to do?

About the same honestly, and both would require the same amount of parts for the swap.

i would almost say a 3x00 would be about as hard to pop in there, as long as you do not mind wiring.

Not really. Due to the wiring that has to come along with a 3x00. Using a factory J-body engine and harness = plug-n-play.

Either way you go 2.4 or ECO would be about the same as mentioned. Personally I'd go with the ECO if given the choice. I know there's a lot of hardcore 2.4 guys, and some with a ton of power, but I'd say I would go ECO.

I'm a hardcore 2.4 guy, but truly in my area a Ecotec will be cheaper to do. The 2.4's are becoming harder to find, and when you find them they cost more, and usually with more miles. Easier to find a Ecotec with less miles, and cheaper. Again in my area this is the case.

its a daily driver. i bought it cause i like sunfires and cause it has low miles (96k). But i want more performance out of it, so a motor swap is probably a good start lol.

If youre sticking mostly stock with bolt-ons Id go Eco since it has more power out of the box but if youre planning on a crazy build its pretty much a toss up in my eyes.
