so... once i get it built i am just wondering. with cams and a turbo and other goodies. would it be safe to drive it to where im getting it tunned....? or should i trailer it there? adn another ? if i dont have the time or money for all new valvetrain... can i order custom grind cams under our coilbind limit and still notice a gain? would upgrading really make that much of a difference( cams stock v.s aftermarket)
With money being the limit, your going to have to drive it to the track.
valvetrain seams like a waist of money untill you break something related to the it, then you spend 3 times more to fix it. I did valvetrain as soon as i could.
IMO there are enough cams out there not to have a custom grind done, even i looked into it, but decited to buy these europian cams instead, i ran the comp cams stage 3 for 3 years and went mid 13's and over 102 mph all the time. I was lookin to go faster therefor the diff cams.
and a good turbo setup, kit or custom made will cost thousands and yes you can run stock cams and valvetrain, all depends on how much power you want.
and agian there are alot of poeple that drive the car everyday with a 200+ hp turbo kit, i built my car just to race and i also had a trailer to tow with.
hope this helps a little

ben your cars barely even qualify to talk about on this site anymore, just sick work.
matt i would imagine if you did something to keep from building boost you should be ok, maybe have the springs set so it opens with 1psi or so. i am not a guru, but that may be the best alternative.
Thanks Mike !
I bought the car NEW in July 04 and built it since, just a few thousand dollars a year will do it
