ok so heres the deal. i have a 2001 cavalier 2.2 non eco. my current setup is a aem cai, 4-1 stainless header, cherry bomb glasspack, dynomax super turbo all on 2.25 inch pipping. and it sounds like @!#$. no matter what i do with my exhaust it sounds bad. it has a good sound to it but its not deep at all. its raspy as hell. currently i have no cat which i think is part of the reason. so what i am asking is if i put a cat on my car would it give me a deep tone. also how would it affect the performance. and no dont say put a cat on because its illegal or whatever, i live in florida so theres no inspections. so im talking strictly sound/performance. so would it help alot in making it deeper if i add the high flow cat?
this is the one i was thinking about getting. i dont have any extra money so i want to make sure its really going to help if i buy it

thanks
Just add another resonator to the car and you'll be good.
I'd get at least something in the 22 inch range to make it do it's job more effectively.
Adding a cat will have more restriction to the exhaust than adding another resonator.
Good luck with it.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
is there any that you recommend. im on a tight budget. thanks
Try here but don't expect them to come cheap.
You can also check your local exhaust shop for some that aren't stainless and probably come out cheaper.
Another cherry bomb will probably do also to help with the sound.
