looks good mike. looks like it angles down in the pics though, after it clears the firewall i mean. it looks like the collector is pointed down.
its the only way it clears everything, thats taken care of with a slight angle on the reducer at the end of the collector to bring it back upwards anywhere from 7-10 degrees though. ive looked at it at all angles and i know why nobody would make a long tube, because clearance is a problem and it was a PITA.

No finish welded pics? Any pics of the inside of the collector? How involved was it to install? What material was used?
The reason my header isnt THAT long is because it was already a PITA to install and they figured the install would be a turn off.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
now that is sexy. i love the bell style design for the collector.
If it takes forever.... I will die trying. Underdog Racing
whats the final length for the collector going to be? obviously not that short.

no welded pics, i can take some pics of the collector tonight, its a 4-1 true merge though. install requires sagging the k frame and cutting the first 4-5 of heat shield. the manifold is mild steel except for the merge, its stainless. the one thing about me is ill do what i need to in order to install a high quality performance part on my car and others that want the best (just speaking in general) will do so also. why make something and hope it sells cause its still easy to install vs making something that will do better then the rest but will require more from the buyer. like ive said before i try and build everything to be as efficiant and as nice as possible, thats what im know for and im not gonna quit now. more pics tonight.

not that short??? thats a pretty long collector there sir (im referring to collector alone), are u talking about doing a mega phone after the collector? this is designed to be used with an exhaust system. had this be a true drag car header a megaphone and reverse cone would have been utilized.

It just doesnt look like the 18 inch ish collector that I was expecting to see on a set of long tubes. I haven't done the calcs on the exact length of collector needed for this car and powerband, but it should be around18 irrc.

well on neons a header like this will pick up ~18-20whp vs a stock or janky short tube header. typically those kind of gains are seen on the cars the are around newts power range . ur not gonna pick up that kind of power with a intake and exhaust only. but we'll only know real gains as soon as newt gets this thing installed and on a dyno. im guessing he will pick up at least 15whp.
