Has anyone talked with Comp Cams recently about info on 2.2 ecotech cams for a 2004 Cavalier? I called to get some basic info on what my options were (although I already knew) about putting cams in my 04 Cavalier race car (asphaul oval). I told him I had a 2004 Cavalier and was checking on my options. He told me he couldn't help me. I had to call GM Performance. I know that's wrong so I asked, "Are you sure you don't sell cams for the 2.2 Ecotech?". He stuttered and stammered and asked again what year my car was. I said 04 and he said, "oh sorry...let me look". He asked what I planned to do with it, I told him mostly stock, no supercharger or turbo. He asked if it was SOHC...I said no..it's dual cams. He told me, "Sorry, I got nothing for you, I only got cams for the single cam engines". I realized if I game him the part number I was interested in it would do no good since he don't even know his own catalog, much less details. I just wanted to see if they spit out the same cam I had thought would be best for my needs.
From my personal research, 113200 is what I think I want. But if I can't get any support from Comp Cams themselves I'll be left with no options. Did I just get a guy who was clueless or is this how Comp Cams is now with support??? I've heard they are good to deal with, but that was a few years ago. Or are they just clueless when it comes to 4 cylinders??
I've heard they are good to deal with too, do they have a technical service number? Maybe you just got their sales desk?
My buddy called them a few times to help select his cam for his 3400 and be said they where very helpful.
heres the spec sheet.
This is actually on comp cams web site.

i have a set of 113200 cams sitting on my shelf now, i didnt know that 06 and 07 were different when i bought them. but those should be what you need.
Hit up Karo over at Allecotec.com. He carries Comp Cams and will probably have the best price on them too.
my guess is you got a bad rep is all, everyone has them. i HATED dealing with ARP to get head studs for my 2200. same deal with them.
