Hey guys, been a really long time since I've posted..

Uhmmmm one word "yes" . . . second word "search"

Topic has been well covered bud . . . If you have specific questions about it feel free to ask but there is more than enough knowledge out there for you to start your research. I am in the middle of my swap and am using the auto so I can race with it. I and others are more than willing to help if you have your research covered.

Good luck with it and I hope you really go through with this!

PS The answer to your question can be found by searching L67 on the performance forum

Thanks.

I thought I did have a specific question? "what clutch/flywheel setup did they use?"

I've gotten half my answer.. sounds like the camaro flywheel cut down a bit is the way to go but no one explicity tells you what clutch/pressure plate setup has worked for them.

I suppose I could keep looking but thought maybe some one who had done it could tell me right away.

You'll have to use the one for the 2200. Basically when you order the clutch/pressure plate, you order what goes with the transmission, rather than what goes with the engine.

Might wanna look for a Stage III, to hold the power.

Not trying to be a dick or anything lol . . . There is just a lot of one line questions that get asked . . .

I cannot comment on a specific combination as I am staying auto for the time being. From what others have done though the custom camaro flywheel and usually stage 3 or stage 4 clutch to keep it from burning out right away.

If you have other questions you can PM me.

Just out of curiosity what are you planning on doing for the electrical and gauges?

Thanks guys.

I had planned on going with a spec 3 just didn't know if I should go with the 282 getrag clutch or the one for the F23

I'm not putting it in a cav or sunfire.. it's going in a fiero.

The first time around I did a auto swap in my 87 fiero and outsourced the wiring and pcm. I was planning on doing it on my own this time around to save some cash.

It may be find for you but a spec clutch is like an obx differential. It really is made as cheaply as possible.

As far as spec clutches go......I really liked my stage 3 and it's still holding up strong in my old car, but the stage2 with my blown eco SUCKS!

My SPEC II works good. Though it seems that at a certain point their quality dropped off the side of a cliff. I do have the problem with inconsistency, but it doesn't slip or try to fail when being abused.

My spec2 was in the car for roughly10k miles total... a little over half that was when I finally got hp tuned and after hitting the track and countless summer burnouts..it began sliping this winter and got swapped with Act 6 puck disc, spec aluminum fly, and spec 2 pressure plate. so far so good. I'll see if I can destroy it by next winter though...
