Sorry about the old build pics.they are from the build in 09. The car is in winter storage and thats all the pics i have.I set it up old school skinny tires in front and 295 50 r15 in the rear they fit in the wheel wells. no rubn. The stock hood shuts with air cleaner. And its fast pulls tires off the ground in two gears. little scarry to drive somtimes. To lite its like drivn on ice. I would really like to do this with a olds bravada awd drivetrain. I think it would hooh up good.So alittle help and ideas would be cool.

The engine was reworked.About $2800. Lots of head work and cam.A buddy of mine works in a engine shop.so i had specal help makn powerNot sure what he did exactly but it works.Hes guessn the hp is closer to 400 hp. And their is nothing under the hood but the motor.battary in trunk. no power steer.wipers and all its hard wear.no heat,ac,radio. Its striped just a body so it weights nothing.Would like to scale it just to see what it actually weights. And as far as the tires comin off the ground only on slicks and a full tank of gas. It normaly just spins on my street tires. And most of the engine is behind the front tires for good weight transfer plus 411 gears help also

After years of kids coming on here and asking how its done, you just show up on here with pics of the working car and start asking questions. I raise my glass to you sir. Silly question, but what about instrumentation? Are you using the stock dash or something else? I'd love to see pictures of this thing inside and out when spring comes.

We need better pics!

Isn't a 96 Z28 already RWD?

I think he made a typo and meant Z24, he only has a '96 Cavi in his profile.

I was completely confused as to what he was asking until I looked at his profile pics.

like the population of JBO hasnt given someone crap before for a typo. lol

i was confused too until i looked closer at his pics and saw it was a cavalier with a 350 in it.
i think the OP is on his own. nobody i know of has done an AWD on a J.

Best bet would probably be to measure the wheel base, and then start measuring subaru wheel bases until you find something that fits.\

Or, a 4x4 S10, but your going to have to do a lot of chassis stiffening either way.
