Power steering line to rack's thread pitch
Thursday, March 24, 2011 9:19 AM
Does anybody know what size the thread pitch is on the actual rack where the power steering lines connect to? I know Joshua Dearman mentioned it a while ago in a thread that I can't find. Along with my non starting issue with the car I got going on now, my power steering fluid leaked out over the weekend. I remember it happend when I was racing back in 09. I thought I got the problem fixed then.

I want to convert to SS hoses so I can avoid this again. Or, just run without PS.

Thanks.

Syl, is THIS something I could use on the rack? Along with an M18 one?

Also, how would I connect an SS line to the pump on the cam tower? Since our stock hoses just slides on one of the lines.

i bought 2 fitting for the steering rack side. i dont remember the size but it looks exactly like the one you posted.
on the pump side, i push the hose on the plastic connection like the stock one, for the metal one i bought another fitting of the right size like on the rack side.

I think so, but I make my own adapter and it is very similar to the link
The pump is a M16 thread

This one are cheaper Russell Power Steering Adapter Fittings

And you cant use a clamp on the pressure side you need high pressure hose
