I have a 02 body was automatic but changed with a 99moter anD a 5 speed trans what are some thing I could do to get mor hp I have been to the 8th mile track and ran 10.6 and 10.8

Every bolt-on you can find to support a p&p. A cam would also help, along with a tune.

What about a different head I plan on getting a new bottom end with bigger pistons is there a different head that I can get to bolt up to And what is p&p

P&p: Port & polish, the most common mod done to cylinder-heads.

It should be noted here that the '92-'97 & '98-up LN2's (That's your engine's RPO-code) use similar yet differently distinctive heads, and they won't "just swap" with one-another.

Your best (and only) choice is to go to Patriot Performance, and get their Stage-V head. I've read an article recently where one was installed in a LN2'd S-truck w/header & it made substantial gains. Bumping the compression to boot will also certainly help boost low-end torque. Also: Look into a aftermarket cam that's one-to-two steps above stock, to work with the more-direct control you have over engine-speed & gear selection you have with running a manual trans-axle.


Go beyond the "bolt-on".
