Hey,
i bought last year a Dynomax Super Turbo 2.25 Muffler. But this year i want to upgrade my exhaust system all the way with 2.5 Pipe and Tsudo Headers. I was thinking if a 2.25 muffler on a 2.5 pipe would make it restrictive? Im N/A stock on 2.2 Ecotec and after some search i think its better to put a 2.5 and not a 2.25.
where you located? ill make you one hell of a deal......
Montreal, in quebec province.
yeah youre not gonna want to pay shipping on that...
Pretty much the smaller diameter muffler is going to bottleneck the flow of the larger pipe.
The 2.25 will still outflow stock, but to see the full benefit of the 2.5" piping you would need to use a 2.5" muffler as well.
Look forward to seeing how my truck likes just having the 2.75in/2.25out muffler replaced with a 2.5/2.5.
Its a big enough thing on the LSJ's since they have 2.5 inch pipe with a 2.25 muffler stock. Not sure if you'll see too much of a difference n/a.

How much does the cc insert help and how many discs are you running?
2disk no cap and it helps alot
see ya!
Did you notice any power loss, I hear they restrict flow quite a bit?
I have to retune I will do a log with and without but still waiting on a new cable for my wideband.
see ya!
an exhaust shop could open the muffler up to 2.5" i'm sure it's still 2.5" internally and just 2.25 at the connections.
