Does anyone have any other way then moddifying the oil pan
Yes, Brad "Zyaaa" had some adapter brackets made. I'm not sure if he has any left, but you retain your stock oil pan.

until he figures out why his engine is knocking i wouldnt want to do the pickup mod like that...
definitely not saying thats what caused it but you never know.
If you have access to the machine shop, i'd modify the oil pan... Its so much win having 7 quarts... LD9s always leak, and its good having those extra quarts in it...

He mentioned to me once he thought he may have had some metal shavings floating around.
It was my intention of doing it this way prior to him doing it. I may also look into using a different style without the adapter. Unless you can get them cheap again Brad.

not to change idea too much but has anyone tried JBperfomance 2.4 pump ??
Isnt the JBP pump just a melling replacement pump?

why cant we just put a $.02 washer on the spring???
Todd Miller welded a pan for me just recently. 190 bucks, welded, painted whatever color and shipped back

this is win!!!!!!... I also have a Miller Performance Modified Pan. enjoy your extra insurance... 7qts exactly to read full on the stick, which means if you run a quart or two low, you're still above stock, and therefore less prone to damage the bearings... since i've yet to see a quad neither leak nor consume oil...
^^ My 98 uses about a quart every 5k miles. I think most of it comes from the cam housings. I will find studs for them one of these days....

Your the first person I heard this from, and I agree 100%.

no need to "find" studs... just cut threaded rod to length thats all nukkinfutts does...
ARP will be my choice. Just have to figure out what stud I need and then find the assloads of money to get them. I seem to have lost the part numbers.
