Hey guys, I have the razzi kit which has the dual cut-outs for exhaust, so this is the system I've ran for the last couple years. It's 2.25 piping with a camaro style muffler with dual outlets and muffler tips. I've created a mini paint version of my setup and it's very simple and basic. The issue that I've run into is the exhaust hanger that is right before the axle (basically right under the driver side door). It keeps breaking off!!! I've had to go to the shop to have it replaced 3 times! It's the same shop that installed the system as well and I told him how I wanted it set up by researching other people on here that ran dual exhaust, but he ran it different which was ok with me. My theory for the hanger always breaking is this....Too much weight that isn't even distributed on the exhaust system. As you see in the picture below, the camaro style muffler is right near (after) the rear tire, then he ran the pipe from there over to the passenger side. Would this be causing that hanger to break over time with going over bumps and driving, etc??? I wanted him to put the camaro style muffler at a slight angle under the spare tire cover and then run the pipes out so it seems evenly distributed, but he figured I would be scrapping the muffler up by having it that way. I believe it was ruen22 who had it set up this way a long time ago as well. What do you guys think about the exhaust hanger always breaking off?

Not sure if this link will work. Let me know if it doesn't! Thanks guys
link wants me to sign in. it does not work and I don't want to sign up...
Is the muffler mounted the same way it would be under a camaro? If not, that is probably your issue.
Fix the link to your picture so we can give you more info.

I'll fix it when I get home. I'll upload it to my photobucket account which I can't access here at work.
Okay here is the picture I was referring too as to how it is currently set up on the car. Do you think having it set up this way would be putting to much weight on that hanger before the axle?
very much so. When I had the razzi, my muffler was sideways behind the rear axle. And then went out to both tips. Regardless you need a hanger on the muffler side of the axle. thats entirely too much weight to be hanging on the front hanger only. You could fab something up before the tips if you really wanted to so that it would take some of the weight off the rest but you definitely need something more after the rear axle.
I'm not sure if there is anything after the axle. I noticed the pipe before the axle was low so I looked and it was broke there. I'll have to check after the axle. I know there's gotta be a hanger somewhere after the axle though. Even if there is, I still think the weight isn't evenly distributed having it set up this way. Do you have any pictures of your set up when you had the razzi?
I have a hanger on the pipe between the muffler and bumper.
The camaro muffler really should be turned cross ways under the rear to reduce piping and allow for an additional hanger to support the muffler.

I also get a ton of rattling going on back there. I would assume from the passenger side tip hitting the top of the bumper. Any bump will rattle it around and can be easily heard inside and it's just annoying. Wonder if this could also be due to the pipe running from the camaro muffler out the back end of the car without much support??
