hi guys,
I'm about rebuilding my engine for high performance, and I bought : Wiesco Pistons - Eagle Rods - Eagle crank shaft - ARP Head Studs - neutral balance shafts - hardened oil pump gears - cometic hg - ACL bearings. But I'm confused about the bearings, do they high RPM rang Resistant or only for normal RPM rang.
and what about Clevite 77 bearings, do they better than the ACL for ecotec engines cause I saw only one site sells the ACL bearings for the ecotec 2.2 l61 that's mean that is not popular . dose anyone tried them ??
If Clevite 77 bearings better, which Series is the best ??
thank you
The best bearings I have come across and was recommended were the Clevite Tri Armor bearings.

Factory bearings will also hold up very well...
do they hold up on high RPM ??

stock bearings here, motor has been taken to 8000rpm MANY times with zero issues.

The reason I am going Clevite and recommend them is that less rotating friction the better, it also equals more power, and even though our stock bearings are good, I still want something better and at $90-$120 its not that expensive.

I went with, and will always go with the stock bearings...only because I am keeping the stock crankshaft.
That being said, you went with a new crank....so the option is ultimately yours, depending on how much you want to spend.

So Qwibby I can trust Clevite with my STD Eagle crank shaft ?
and bro can u show me where can get them with this price please ?
I will appreciate that
ty all guys for ur help
I have a extra set of the clevite tri armor bearings that have the ceramic oil shedding coating on them. Pm if interested
Did you happen to check with eagle and see if they recommend a certain bearing? After all, it is their crank.

are these tri-armor's actually moly friction reduction coated?
