Fuel Injector size question
Friday, July 08, 2011 1:35 PM
I have a 1997 2.2L and was wondering if there are any bigger GM factory injectors that would be a direct fit? I was thinking on using Ecotec ones if they fit.
Anyone have more info on this? My budget won't allow for aftermarket.

The easiest and best way would be to convert to top-feed injectors from the 98+ 2200 engines. Then pretty much anything aftermarket will fit.

Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!

I shall say it again... AFTERMARKET IS NOT IN MY BUDGET! I wanna go to a junkyard and grab the parts.

Look into the early Saturn TBI injectors. Do a search, I can't remember specifics.
