Vinyl Tubing

Just installed a cheap ebay catch can.
Looks good, yadda yadda.

That being said.
It came with only 1.5 feet of tubing. (I have a 2200)
due to the nipple being on top of the valve cover, i've got a little bit of an issue with the hosing.

Went to home depot, and picked up a roll of 'Vinyl Tubing' without any kind of heat rating.

My current set up: Three inches of radiator style tubing, (Fear of vinyl tubing melting when in contact with valve cover) fed to viny tubing.

However, This looks like rubbish. COMPLETE rubbish.
Is it safe to run this vinyl tubing strait to the valve cover? or should i not screw with it just in case it decides to melt?
Any ideas?

In the future, ill be picking up some braided line, but for now, i needed something to do the job.

Vinyl is fine. I'm running it tip I have all the fittings to run braided lines. The VC doesn't really get all that hot in comparison to other parts of the motor.

Hmm, installed with my m62 setup...so, maybe 2 months ago. One of my vinyl lines even runs pretty close to the the blower and manifold, and have been fine.

I would run 3/8 fuel hose. Its what I have on mine. I would be concerned with that vinyl collapsing under the vacuum you had better be running through it than anything. Which catch can? That cheap round one or the square one that you can open? If its the round one, sucks to be you, it really isnt doing much, if its the square one, get some custom baffles in it. I'll write out my baffle setup that works well if you actually have the square one.
